If I don't make it up the mountain, I want you to eat me.
Me: Oh, wow! New Snarry novel! I am so there. *Is so there* Oh, yeah!

Me (A short while later): *Is still there* Oh, yeahhh.

Me (A longer while later): *Is yup, still there* Oh, yeah! ...Oh. How many chapters are there in this?

Me (A significant portion of time later): *...Is... still... there* But I'm so close! I'm so close, I can taste it! It's just over that next rise!

Sun: *Comes up*

Me: Almost... there... almost...

Common Sense: You know, it did say 'novel.' Not 'novella.'

Me: What's the difference?

Common Sense: La. And many thousands of words.

Me: ...No...! *Falls to ground, dies*

RIP. Here lies Calligraphy, dead at Chapter 28. Bit off more porn than she could chew.

New novel? hmm? What? Is it good? And more importantly, how on earth did I miss it?! *g*

Fellow Snarropolous citizen V posted it earlier. Dunno how 'new' it qualifies as, but here's a link to the announcement.

Well, okay, new, yeah. *Is about fiften minutes from crashing hard* Remixed. And all. Very well-written, very porny, I don't have the stamina right now. :)

Remixed and also completed. What was posted last year was only about one third of the total novel that will be posted here. Two thirds of this novel is brand new.

And there's so much of it. No...! (But *way* yes.) But also 'no...!'

I'm taking a break for a couple of days. Let my strained fic-muscles heal. :) Maybe I'll have time this coming weekend. Hoorah for the New Year!

I hung in there until about 2AM.

Good to know I'm not the only one who's common sense completely deserted her last night. *g*

Well. I just played with the idea of rereading some other older HP/SS novel and now this. Now I have to decide between the two. At least it's Friday and I have holidays.

I couldn't. I did that thing where I seriously underestimated its length, and then couldn't really find a stopping place that said, 'Stop.' Ah, well. The wounds are healing up nicely.

God, you're amusing.

Yes, that is the reaction that many, many people had to this novel. It's looooooooong, but so addictive that you can't stop reading it. It's addictive.

And you do realize, don't you, that what we unlocked last night was only the first half of this novel? You may as well get some sleep (and eat, and bathe, and everything) because you have all weekend to read it, because the rest won't be posted 'til earlier next week. (it takes a while to post all those separate chapters, etc.).

And this is the first novel. It reads fine as a stand-alone, but there will be a sequel. No doubt, just as long.

The author is prolix . . . But I don't mind, a bit. Not when it's this hot.

I can't even imagine all the linking and posting. Augh. I hate when I put up a new chapter and have to go edit the other links. *Is lazy*

I finally got all the relevant information the next afternoon. Took me awhile. :) I'll be approaching this with grappling equipment and a water bottle the next time.

Hey, man, bring on the Snarry. (Though wow, that is scary long. I'm seriously in awe. Wow. Have another. Wow.) :)

Pfft. :) Oh, well, can't pull a guilt trip on anyone, I suppose. (Not that I was going to--not for new Snarry.) That's why I really ought to start putting word counts on things. *Note to self* Not that it would help, probably. Sometimes you just want to read straight through, you know, while you're there and ready for it.

And then you fall asleep at the computer, so, there's a good idea defeated.

Just how did you manage to get a peek into our living room last night, you fiend? That was exactly what my beloved was doing last night at the laptop. I thought I'd have to pry her eyeballs from the screen and trundle her to bed.

*Is planning on updating* Unfortunately, I'm not sure when. But it's not by any means dead. I just like fic to come out on its own time without trying too hard to push. (Which sucks for readers, but, enh.) Thanks, though! I'm glad you like it!

Totally understood! Muses can be tricky at times. I know it's bad to push such things, as they may retaliate and bite one's fingers off.

Oh, that was marvellously funny to read. (Cordelia pointed me here, and I am so glad she did!) I am really happy the story killed you, LOL. Sounds sort of twisted to say that, but I think you know what I mean.

Okay... it's a long tunnel. But I thought I'd tell you there is light at the end. There are 35 posts up now and the whole novel will have 51 total, I have today figured out. So, you're more than halfway there!

Loved, loved, loved your little talk with your common sense!

Yes, for the next little while or so, you're going to be (nearly) single-handedly responsible for a drop in all Snarry fan productivity (I mean RL, not fannish-wise; this sort of thing actually tends to encourage people, yay!). So you'll have to live with that knowledge. *Nods*

:) Oh, dude, 51, I'm doing well, then! I totally made it to base camp. (I'm have a Matterhorn-climbing thing that I like right now, so I'll stick with that.) Yay! It's really good so far, and when I finally do reach the summit, I'll drop you a few lines.

My common sense thanks you, too, although I must say it wasn't where it needed to be that night. :)

Oh my, CP?! That's so great! I loved the original version and was so sad when it was taken off net. This makes my day. Oh, I so needed more fic.

Thank you - and yeah, I know the feeling.
