DAMN!

How does Stargate Atlantis do that? Son of a--

That show has such a talent for ramping up the tension, painting itself into a neat little corner and then, oop, there's a trapdoor, too, have a nice *trip*, see you next *fall*--

I hate 'To Be Continued.'

*Fully blames the slashers on her list for getting her to watch the first season DVDs.*

(PS. John loves Rodney.)

He actually asks Fraser if he thinks he's attractive! Buddy breathing! And the bit at the end with the ice fissure and the 'I guess you're not going to be my partner anymore' and the--guh. Season 3 was weird. Good weird, but it was almost like, wha...? :) Silly me assumed (before I'd seen it) that this Ray was basically going to be a stand-in for the other, character-wise. I was a fool. :)

*nods vigorously* I've been trying to keep away from it, but I think I might have to watch that damned cliffhanger again soon. Is it July yet? *sigh*

Yeah, they're a bunch of dangerous pimps.

(PS. John loves Rodney.)

And this is why the pimping works. *g*

Augh. I knew I shouldn't watch it. I was thinking, 'They're so going to pull a first-season-type move.' And they did. Which shows they are sadistic.

But it's a good sadistic, I have to say. I'm up for it. :)

Oh, dude, I can't even tell you how much Jim/Blair I've read--and I've never seen an episode of The Sentinel (I'll rent the DVDs when they come out, though). Relentless, this crowd.

I was free of the SGA juggernaut until I went to visit some of those people on my flist towards the end of last year, and now, suddenly, I seem to have written three SGA fics, with more on the way. I feel as though I've been run over by a truck. *g*

I've never seen an episode of The Sentinel, and I've never read any of the fic, but I know the DVDs are coming out soon and I'm wavering...

Ack! *g* I promised myself I wouldn't begin on any epics for a little while. Maybe the long drought betweeen seasons will do it.

Can't say much about The Sentinel as a show (for aforementioned reasons), but, ah, yeah. Some *good* fic. Not a ton of it, but much of it awesome.

SGA is really, *really* dangerous. I've got, like, nine stories in progress at the moment, and one of them is my first novel length fic in more than five years.

That said, I really wouldn't *object* if you felt moved to write something epic for SGA. *innocent look*

*looks sideways at Sentinel fic, yet again*

I'll say it is. I feel like I've struck the motherlode. Piles of gorgeous, gorgeous fic. *Devours*

Ooh, congrats! An entire novel is a chunk to bite off.

Ahem. *Shifty look, turns monitor, obscures the first few lines of the Rodney-is-Kidnapped-for-Weird-Sexy-Rituals story which may or may not see the light of day, whistles.*

Big Beefy Detective with extra-sensory abilities and Hippiesque Anthropologist roommate--it works for me. All I'm sayin'.

the Rodney-is-Kidnapped-for-Weird-Sexy-Rituals story

That sounds like just the sort of story that would fit right into this fandom. *whistles innocently*

The Sentinel is the ultimate comfort-reading for a friend of mine. When life *really* gets her down, she goes straight to the Blair fic and just wallows for a while. Actually, now I come to think about it, I don't think she's ever seen an episode of the Sentinel, either. Hmmn...

[Oops. Reposting. You would *think* that I would have got the hang of this multiple journal thing by now, but no.]

LOL.

I'm going to assume that I'm not the only person on your flist that is full of John/Rodney love (and no, I wasn't sucked into the 'new big shiny fandom' - I was already in love with Jack/Daniel from SG-1) but let me just add -

HA!

You ain't seen nothing until you've seen Season Two. There are numerous episodes where TPTB may as well have named them 'Gay Love Episode 1' followed by 'Gay Love Episode 2, 3 and 4'.

PS. John loves Rodney.

He does. And what's also very good - Rodney totally loves John. He pulls the best 'OMG my boyfriend's going to die!' faces.

Arm-pat. Arm-pat. Was nice tonight. Mmm.

Okay, I don't even want in to SG-1. I am putting my fingers in my ears--damn, six, seven seasons of DVDs--I can't give up that much time right now. I'd never catch up.

I'm looking forward to catching a few Season 2 Atlantis reruns--yay! (I did hear tell of some hot Doctor on Doctor action... :) )

Okay, so John has got to be totally going after Rodney. I want a big stealth-happy rescue. With tongue, please. (In the thank-god-you've-saved-me kissing way, I mean. Not in the actual rescuing.)

Oh, and I guess he can save Ronon, too. You know, if it's convenient.

Oh, I didn't realise you were talking about the cliffhanger of Season 2. I thought you'd been suckered into watching earlier episodes of the show just recently.

I like Ronon. He's a hulking mountain of 'um, yum.' I totally approve of Teyla doing him 24/7.

There's a gazillion (and I don't think I'm exaggerating) McKay/Sheppard fics out there so I won't bother reccing any to you (unless you want to know what the best ones are, of course) but I am going to suggest you go here.

It's called the 'Getting To Know You' series (scroll down to the bottom) and it's written to compliment Season 2 of SGA. It's written by [info]lamardeuse who wrote the very excellent 'A Taste Of Liberty' which is a crossover with 'Queer As Folk' and I enjoyed it immensely without having even watched the show. GtKY series is all John/Rodney, all the time, and is a brilliant explanation of what is happening on and off camera.

Sorry, was unclear because I was all sleepy. :) I watched Season 1, panicked and wondered how the heck they were going to get out of that, caved, read the Siege III transcript, then watched last night's Season 2 cliffhanger. (I was weak--I meant to go in order.)

*Promptly goes to read* Thank you!

When I got to the end of S1, the cliffhanger gave me so much pain that I rang a friend of mine who lives nearby who had the next season and begged him to bring it round that same night so I would not have to live in fear. He mocked, but it was worth it.

Yes. I read the episode transcript of Siege Part III and watched the Season 2 cliffhanger--bad timing on my part, coming in at a cliffhanger a season late, but I couldn't wait. SGA, new drug of choice. Heck, yeah.

I just didn't see how they were going to get out of it--nice nail-biter writing, there.

Hi, Caligryphy, I've tried a few times to reach you via email to ask something. Sorry I'm doing it here, know I shouldn't but am a bit desperate for the answer, so please forgive your little worshipper (is there such a word..? I'm not sure...). So, getting to the point, I tried to ask for your permission to translate into Polish your two other fics: The Fourthe Year and A Soft Place to Sleep. Other, because I've been translating So Lonely Without Me, as I hope you remember. Please, I'd really very much like to know if you let me do it, please reply somehow, even to say 'no', that would be better than waiting and wondering what's wrong.

Finishing this, I'll mention that I don't know anything about SG fandom but some time ago read a fic with Rodney (whomever he is) and some other guy (probably this John guy, but I don't remember) and it was really good, good enough to captivate me even if I didn't have a clue what it was exactly about ;). Don't ask me about the title - don't remember, but it was recced somewhere on one of my flist-friends journals.

Thank you,
Lel

Absolutely, you have permission. (I'm sorry--I've been kinda out of the online scene recently.) Go for it. *Confers Polish translation rights* Thanks.

Oh, yeah, the SGA fic is good. I'm liking one where Rodney is crowned Prince and he tries to take John as his consort. *Purrs at the crack*
