Today, I saw a tow truck towing a tow truck.

The world feels pretty circular.

Hey, I saw that just the other day too! I recall the phrase "physician, heal thyself" floating through my head as I watched them go by. :)

The greatest(?) tow I ever saw was the guy who created his own ride-on lawn mower by attaching his push mower to the back of his 4x4... Yeah.

Hee! When I was finishing up my literature degree, I used to walk past a sign store. There was something about the big sign saying "SIGNS" that stopped me cold, every single time.

Even worse, when going up to my college I used to pass a sign for "Creative Signs Inc." :D I was always torn between laughter and scoffing...

My kids have a book called "How many trucks can a tow truck tow?" http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0679878106/sr=8-1/qid=1142603289/ref=pd_bbs_1/002-9079587-9393657?%5Fencoding=UTF8

Oh, that's funny!

The only similar thing I've ever seen is one tractor-trailer engine towing another one, backwards, where the trailer ought to have been. That was weird. It looked like a caterpillar.

Hee, I saw that happen once! It gave me quite the adrenaline jolt, too, because at first it looked like a tractor-trailer in my lane, coming right at me... then the odd angle gave me the necessary clue. But looking up and seeing the *front* of one of those things right in front of you? Skeery!

Hi, please forgive the OT. I send you an e-mail to the yahoo account displayed in your profile and received no reply. I may be a bit impatient here, but that's just excitement talking.

May I have your kind permission to translate "Fourth Year" (and, if momentum holds, "So Lonely") into Russian? I'd make certain your name was on the text and supply you with the link. There is a fandom out there that I think would worship you readily if given the chance.

I've done other translations before for Aucta Sinistra, Cassie Claire, and Starry Gazer. Am yet to get a complaint. Please, please say yes.

Oh, yes, another off topic post....

Since your comments seem to be littered with shameless begging, I figured I'd fit right in.

I'm one of the moderators on Walking the Plank, a fen-managed Snape/ Harry archive. You can check it out, if you haven't already, at www.walkingtheplank.org. I don't know about you, but when I first started reading Snarry, the place I felt most at home was WTP, and we are proud of the archive now as well. We are very serious about authors' rights, and will not alter IN ANY WAY the text of a story. We believe that authors should control their own work, which means that if you decided to leave the archive at any time, you can delete your own stories without waiting for the mods. It is moderated for SPAG, which raises the quality of the submissions. Most of all, it is rapidly becoming the home for great Snarry.

Which leads me to the shameless begging. Your stories, "So Lonely Without Me," and "The Fourth Year," are the penultimate Snarry works. Seriously: I have read them at least 5 times apiece. I truly believe that your stories are sublime. I'm hoping that you will allow WTP to host your fics, and allow other Snarry fans to enjoy them who haven't discovered you yet. If the author upload is the issue, I know a mod *coughs* who would be happy to upload them for you, once you create an account. ;)

I don't think our archive will ever be the ultimate home for all Snarry without your fantastic stories. Your talent would enrich the whole site. I hope you'll consider us.

If you are interested, or want more info, please feel free to contact me at aliciamasters@gmail.com.

Thanks so much for reading this!
